DotCloud (S10): An Application Platform That Lets You Mix And Match
Hosting company Rackspace is acquiring Y Combinator-backed startup Cloudkick, which offers a full-fledged server management system to businesses.
DailyBooth is updating its iPhone app today, which is likely turbo-charge the service’s user base -- and if it works, you too may be taking a picture of yourself every time you tickle out a few lines and update your status.
Salesforce.com has just announced that it is acquiring Heroku, which provides a Ruby application platform-as-a-service, for approximately $212 million in cash.
That’s one hell of an exit for the startup, which was founded in 2007 and has raised only $13 million in funding.
Heroku was initially provided with seed funding through Y Combinator back in 2008.
